Congrats to our Re-Elected
and Newly Elected Officers!
President (re-elected):
Georgia Kay Woerner
Having grown
up in Maryland, Georgia had always managed to stay detached from the
political scene until the Clinton Impeachment proceedings began in 1998.
After watching it all in disbelief, she realized that it was all too
ridiculous to ignore, so during the presidential campaign of 2000, she
decided to become a member of the "vast right-wing
conspiracy." She became involved with Republican
organizations first through Republican Women of Baltimore County, and
then with the BAYRs. Georgia attended the University of Miami for
her undergraduate education, and Towson University for her M.Ed. in
secondary education. She is now a science teacher at Roland Park
Elementary/Middle School in Baltimore City. She lives in Towson
with her two Chinese water dragons and her collection of Barbie dolls,
and she teaches fitness classes for Bally Total Fitness.
Baltimore County Vice President (re-elected):
Les Richardson
Les has lived and worked on his family's farm, Richardson Farms, in White Marsh his entire life. They have over 300 acres on which they produce vegetables and raise chickens. They have two retail stores where hey sell produce, eggs and poultry.
One establishment is in White
Marsh the other at the Northeast Market in the City. Les is also involved in The Main Streets program in Baltimore City through the Merchants Association to improve the shopping areas around Baltimore City. Les graduated
from Towson University in 1994 with a BS in Accounting. In 1999, he became the President of the Baltimore County Farm Bureau which represents 1,800 members. In addition, he serves on the Maryland Farm Bureau Board of Directors. The Farm Bureau is the "Voice of
Agriculture" for the farming industry. Personally, Les has always been a believer in conservative ideas. When not working, he enjoys world travel, skiing and bicycling. His favorite color.... red, white, and blue.
Baltimore City Vice President (re-elected):
Kim Collins
Kim grew up in the DC area and
was introduced to Baltimore when she entered Towson State University in
1989. After graduating from Towson State in 1993 with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Sociology, she went on to work for the Maryland
Division of Parole & Probation. Kim has been a Baltimore City resident
since 1998, and in addition to her B.S. in Sociology, she holds an
Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Professional Cooking & Baking
from Baltimore International College. Kim is conservative in her ideals
and values, and started becoming actively involved in the Republican
Party during the recent Ehrlich campaign. Outside of work, she enjoys
exercising, cooking, and spending time with friends.
Treasurer :
Liz Lusby

Secretary :
Tim Young

Tim has lived in
Baltimore his entire life. He became interested in politics when he
first voted for Ronald Reagan in his pre-school's mock election when
he was 3 years old. In his senior year at UMBC, following the
suggestion of the President of the college as well as friends and
family, he shifted his focus off of medicine and on to politics and
law. Tim holds a degree in Psychology and currently attends the
University of Baltimore, School of Law, where his focus is Public
Policy. Tim is known for making people laugh in situations where it
is needed and never being afraid to express his opinion. In his
free time he claims to be writing a movie script as well as a solid
stand up comedy routine.
